Attendance Policy
Meeting the minimum attendance requirement is your responsibility as a Rotarian, because good attendance at Rotary:
  •    Fosters fellowship among club members
  •    Provides opportunities to meet new people and reconnect with long-time friends
  •    Keeps you current on club, community and local business news.

Rotary International has established some attendance standards. As explained in the Standard Rotary Club Constitution, each member needs to meet all three of the following requirements:
  1. Attend or make up at least 50% of our club meetings in each half of the year
  2. Attend at least 30% of our club’s meetings in each half of the year
  3. Not miss or fail to make up four consecutive meetings.
The Rochester Rotary Board may approve exceptions to these rules in special cases.

There are many ways that you can still receive attendance credit if you cannot attend our club meeting.  You may:
  • Attend a meeting of another club. To find another club, use Rotary’s online Club Locator atwww.rotary.org/en/AboutUs/SiteTools/ClubLocator/Pages/ridefault.aspx
  • Be sure to ask the club secretary of the visited club to sign a card or note as proof of your attendance.  A signed document ensures that our club gives you attendance credit,
  • Participate in a club-sponsored event or service project,
  • Attend a club board or service committee meeting,
  • Attend a meeting of a Rotaract or Interact club,
  • Attend certain district or Rotary International meetings, or
  • Participate in an E-club meeting for at least 30 minuteswww.rotaryeclubone.org
