Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site

The Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Township is a historic automotive testing site established by the Packard Motor Car Company. Once used to test and refine Packard vehicles, the site reflects the innovation and craftsmanship that defined the company. Situated on 17 acres, the Proving Grounds features Albert Kahn–designed buildings and stands today as an important landmark that preserves Michigan’s automotive heritage.
