President Wayne Hodges opened the virtual meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, then we recited the modified Four Way Test. The invocation was given by Wayne Hodges, giving thanks for all the great examples of servant leadership happening all around us. Virtual lunch was served.

President Wayne announced to the club that Ray Doerr earned the 15th logon (handshake) this week, enjoy the week without fines Ray!
HAPPY BUCKS
Tim Duncan was happy to have the greatest staff on earth. They could be at home making more money through the unemployment system, but instead they are continuing to serve the community by offering top tier veterinary services. Says quite a bit about their character, he is lucky to have them.
Tom Neveau was happy to see everyone's bright shining faces! Stay safe everyone, and he can't wait to see everyone in person again.
Tim Crawford is happy about the birth of a new granddaughter.
Ray Doerr is happy that everyone is getting through this together, and that we can continue to do our good works in the community. He is also happy for all of the work that John Somerville, Andrea Walker, and Wayne Hodges are putting forth to make these virtual meetings happen.
ROTARIAN OF THE WEEK
Ryan Deel gave the bejeweled trophy to Juliane Morian due to the incredible public service that the library is offering right now during this challenging time, congratulations Juliane!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Rochester Rotary Charities president Tom Neveau announced that we gave a $5,000 donation to Neighborhood House.
Rochester Rotary Club Board of Directors has directed that we will not be charging for meals during these virtual meetings.
Both the charities and club boards have taken a hard look at the Every Rotarian Every Year Program, and we will collect that money this year, but will keep the funds local. If you wish to send this money on to Rotary International, please indicate that on your invoice.
Phil and Carol Lowman came back to town early due to the passing of Phil's sister, Janet Fox. Please offer your condolences to the Lowman family.
Our wine tasting event for 2020 has been cancelled. The online tickets that have been purchased have multiple options, we can refund the purchase, hold the ticket for 2021, or donate the money to our charities for their use. If you have physical tickets, please reach out to Kyle Johnson for additional direction if needed.
The Master's Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for the 14th and 15th of November. Our drawing is anticipated for the 27th of October. We still have twenty tickets left, please help us sell this event out.
President Wayne spoke to Janet McPeek this morning, please keep her in your prayers. The illness that she has is a challenging one, and she will be battling it for some time. If you would like to reach out to her, please do so to offer words of encouragement, or just to say hi.

SHERIFF'S REPORT
David Blair then came to the podium to discuss our virtual format, fining anyone surrounding David Eardley on the Zoom board, webcam etiquette offenders (eating, drinking, etc.), and telling assorted and sundry dad jokes, raising $85 for our charities. Nice job David!
PROGRAM
Bryan Barnett then spoke to the club about the state of the city, nation, and world. Many data points were given, bringing us up to date on COVID-19. He ended with multiple stories of hope, bringing some light to this challenging time. Thanks very much for speaking to us Bryan, we truly appreciate it.
