ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Wayne asked that anyone with a high traffic business please take a poster to promote our speaker for next week.
Janet Drobnich then thanked all of volunteers for next week's Operation Schoolbell (distributing various items such as coats, hats, gloves, etc. in downtown Detroit).  She also announced an outing to Grace Center of Hope, anyone interested please see her to sign up (and / or bring a box of pancake mix) for the 8th of October.
Marty Pavlick announced the job shadow program this fall.  Anyone interested in participating as a mentor (including anyone outside of the club that you feel would be a good fit), please see Marty or Ethan.
Steve Oehler then spoke briefly about the golf outing and golf ball drop, announcing that we exceeded our target profit goal to the tune of $24k.
Tom Neveau then gave a check to the Rochester Community School's Foundation, one of our designated beneficiaries from the golf outing.  Dr. Robert Shaner, Superintendent of Rochester Community Schools accepted the check.
President Wayne then spoke about how all three local high schools raised over $74k for Shelter Box, exceptional.
Please take a few business cards and brochures to promote the club.

SHERIFF'S REPORT
Steve Schettenhelm then fined everyone for assorted and sundry reasons, no one was protected, from people jumping out of airplanes (why?), the Brooksie Way, the Emmy's, the sinking fund (and anything associated with sinks, sinking, or a sinking feeling), the holidays (National Punctuation Day anyone?), and head lice, raising $219 for our charities.

PROGRAM
David Eardley then introduced our speaker of the day, Dr. Robert Shaner, superintendent of the Rochester Community Schools.  Dr. Shaner spoke to us about the upcoming vote about the sinking fund proposal on November 5th.  Specifically, he wanted us to know what the money will be used for, and that there will not be an increase in taxes with this fund.  Excellent information, thanks very much for speaking to us today.
Upcoming meeting schedule:

Tuesday, October 1st at Rivercrest

President Wayne adjourned the meeting at 1:30ish p.m.
Anyone displeased about this summary, does them thereafter,
