Bob Lytle encouraged everyone to unleash their inner poet this Friday evening at the Rochester Municipal Park. The Rochester Poets Society takes the mic at 7 p.m.—snaps and dramatic pauses encouraged!
Assistant Governor Mahendra Kenkre invited everyone to help kick off the 2025–2026 Rotary year with a fun evening at Jimmy John’s Field!- Sheriff David Blair started by fining Bob Lytle for songs that seemed to run out of steam and hit him again for the "Dead Poets Society" announcement.
- Juliane was fined for taking a trip to Canada and pretending to be a Canadian.
- Although absent, Jay Eastman was fined for graduating from Rochester High School at such a tender age. Linda Eastman paid the fine.

- In 1975, the United States and the Soviet Union conducted the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, their first joint space mission. This mission, which saw an American Apollo spacecraft dock with a Soviet Soyuz capsule in orbit, was a symbolic end to the space race and marked a period of détente between the two superpowers. The project involved the launch of both a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft and a US Apollo spacecraft on the same day, with the two docking in orbit a few days later.

Rotarians who were not satisfied with the look of their yards were asked to raise their hands, and Ron Lichtle was informed that he should contact those who were not his customers for future marketing purposes. He was charged $5 for each potential customer.

July 15 is also National Give Something Away Day, so Sheriff Blair asked members to open their wallets and give $5 to Rochester Rotary.

Thanks to Sheriff Blair's creative enforcement, we raised $200 for our scholarship program! Remember, these “fines” are all in good fun and serve a great purpose: building camaraderie and raising funds for our charitable efforts, especially scholarships. Let’s continue living out the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self," with enthusiasm, punctuality, and a healthy dose of Rochester pride and humor!

Audrey Heckle, now entering her senior year at Rochester High School (RHS), is an accomplished and driven student. 
She is active in four sports, participates in nine school clubs, has been a dedicated Girl Scout since Kindergarten, and has an impressive collection of badges. Currently, Audrey is pursuing the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award—the highest honor in Girl Scouting.
