ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ron DiLiddo, serving on the nominations committee, confirmed that Kyle Johnson would be filling out the term of Bob Cruciger, following Bob's move back to Ohio. Ron also stated that he had reached out to Ray Doerr to serve an additional term on the board, and Ray was willing. Taking nominations from the floor, William Gross, self-nominated as a candidate for the board. With no other nominations, Ron moved the closing of nominations for the board. The motion passed. The nominations committee will create a ballot for the club to use for the upcoming election of board officers.
William G, speaking on behalf of the OU Rotoract Club offered some updates. The club is seeking to be eligible for the President's Citation. They are close to completing their work for this recognition and also have raised the $250 necessary. We celebrate the good work of all our Rotoract and Interact clubs!
ROTARY EXCHANGE STUDENT PRESENTATION
Francesca, our Rotary Exchange student from northern Italy (District 2031) gave a presentation highlighting her experiences here. She appreciated her experiences at Stoney Creek High School, including being a part of the graduation class. She spoke of the friendships that will last forever. She was so touched by her experiences with her host families. She enjoyed the special trips that were part of her Exchange experience, especially the eastern trip to Washington, DC, New York City, Boston, and Gettysburg. She also enjoyed trips to Canada, Frankenmuth, and participating in the Hometown Christmas Parade on the Rotary float. Her father also expressed his appreciation for the support of the club over this past year.
SONGS
Bob Lytle led us in singing two songs: June is Bustin' Out All Over and I'm Sitting on Top of the World. He described the singing as adequate... that may have been a bit gracious. We'll try again next week!
