ROTARIAN OF THE WEEK
The Rotarian of the Week award was absent this week, another five dollars please...

ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Wayne spoke about our Master's Golf Raffle, taking place on October 27th, when we will pull the winning ticket.  We are currently ~20 tickets away from being sold out, please try to get these last tickets sold.  We do have posters to get the word out about this event, please send John Somerville a note if you would like to receive one (via e-mail).
President Wayne spoke about the Gazebo project, construction will begin this week at our Rotary Gateway Park.
John Somerville then spoke about Zoom, and how we can make this program work better for us.  Specifically, he spoke about how to mute / unmute, and how to halt and start video.  He also pointed out the reactions button, to silently react with clapping / thumbs-up.  He also gave ideas to help remember the Zoom meeting ID.  Those two options will go a long way to help us improve the overall experience.
Ron Lichtle then spoke a bit about project Phoenix, he sent out an e-mail on May 15th regarding this initiative.  Please take a look at the e-mail, and respond to Ron.  This will help our club survive, and thrive during this pandemic.
President Wayne then inducted a new member into the club, Jeff Fosnaugh.  Welcome to the club Jeff, congratulations!
President Wayne then spoke about the Rotary story, broadcast on PBS yesterday.  History sometimes repeats itself, and Rotarian's are ready.

SHERIFF'S REPORT

PROGRAM

Sharon Reinke and Amy Converse then spoke to us about how First State Bank and Level One Bank are adapting to the pandemic.  Great information on how the banking industry is changing, and how they are able to continue offering all needed services without requiring face to face interaction.

If you are interested in viewing Sharon's and Amy's presentation, and the entire meeting, please click the following link:

Yes, this is a challenging time.  But, we are Rotarians, we will rise to the challenge, and our resilience and power of adaptation will prevail over this.  Thanks everyone, have a great week.
