ANNOUNCEMENTS
Rhonda Panczyk then gave a quick rundown of how the golf outing went, and thanked everyone on the committee (Shirley Gofrank, Janet Drobnich, Rachel Aviles, and even Phil Lowman, even though he didn't do anything).  She also thanked Cyndee Andrews, Brenda Brosnan, Tom Neveau, and John Somerville, and all of the sponsors.  This outing raised over $15,000 for our charity work.

John Modetz then came up and gave a Paul Harris award to Kristi Trevarrow.  Kristi serves as the executive director of the Downtown Development Authority for Rochester, MI.  One of Kristi's most notable achievements is the Big Bright Light Show.  Thanks so much for your service to our community!

On behalf  of Tim Duncan, President Wayne announced that we have a baseball game, the USPBL championship game on Sunday, September 8th at 1:05pm at Jimmy John's Field in Utica, MI.  Cost for tickets is $32 per seat, including a meal and (2) drink tickets.  We have a matching sponsor for this event, in that however many tickets are sold, a monetary match (dollar for dollar) will be made to our Charities for discretionary use.  Yes, you are still paying for your seat, but the amount you are paying will be matched and donated.  Keep in mind that this coming Tuesday, September 3rd will be the last day to sign up for the baseball game.  Tickets will be available for pickup at will call prior to the game.

President Wayne spoke briefly about District 6380's One Rotary Summit coming up on September 14th, 2019 at Concordia University in Ann Arbor.  The primary topic will be communication skills training, through the use of story-telling.
