President Ron Lichtle opened the virtual meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, then we recited the modified Four Way Test. Virtual lunch was served.
David Eardley gave the invocation to our club today.
ATTENDANCE
There were 48 Rotarians present, and 3 guests. Welcome to Rochester Rotary Brandon Birge, Michael Wadsworth, and Peter Trumbore!
30 People attended in-person, and 18 participated over Zoom!
15th HANDSHAKE
President Ron announced to the club that Tom Neveau was the 15th person to get their temperature taken! Congratulations Tom!
HAPPY BUCKS
There were many happy bucks given during the meeting, here is a sampling:
Mayor Barnett had a happy buck for the road construction projects nearing completion
Kyle Johnson was happy to be zooming in from Sanibel Island Florida!
Dave Archibald gave a happy buck in remembrance for Mel Gay.

Jeff Whitbey auctioned off the Rotarian of the Week award to Ted Roumel! Congratulations Ted!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ron Diliddo announced that the Charities Board is asking members to donate an additional $50 for World Polio Day on October 24th!
Steve Oehler announced the Poinsettia sale, and a new fundraiser where members can be given a barcode where 10% of your purchase at Bordine's will be donated to the club.
BIRTHDAYS AND CLUB ANNIVERSARIES
We had 4 Birthdays this week! Jackie Kippen on October 22nd, Drs. Jay and Linda Eastman on October 23rd, and Timo Nicholaou on October 26th. Happy Birthday Rotarians!
We had 5 club Anniversaries this week. Renee Cortright, Rachel Aviles, Dave Dulio, Jeff Duperon, and Albert Bordine!
We had three people speak to our club today. Our first speaker was Brandon Birge, a student at Oakland University. Brandon spoke to our club about how Covid-19 has affected student life on campus. Michael Wadsworth from the Dean of students office and expanded on how the University's policies have changed in accordance with the current pandemic. David Trumbore gave us the profesor's/faculty's perspective on how courses changed to be delivered online.
