President Wayne Hodges opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, then we sang an unknown patriotic song, and recited the modified Four Way Test. The invocation was given, and lunch was served.
ATTENDANCE
There were 45 Rotarians present, and nine guests: Don Fergle guest of Wayne Hodges, Karla Barnett guest of Alan McLellan, Lars Nordberg guest of Ron Lichtle, Beth Pryor from the Mt. Clemens Rotary Club, Kimberly Russell from Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, Juliane Morian guest of Christine Hage, Ryan Deel guest of David Walker, Jackie Kippen from the YMCA, and Jeff Fosnaugh from Ace High School. We also had the Ace Interact club in attendance for a bake sale.
15th HANDSHAKE
Tom Neveau announced to the club that Ted Roumell earned the 15th handshake this week, enjoy the week without fines Ted!
ROTARIAN OF THE WEEK
Tim Crawford was absent this week, he will keep the Rotarian of the Week award for another seven days.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Wayne came to the podium and gave a Paul Harris award to Jeff Fosnaugh. Well deserved, thank you for all that you do Jeff.
Tom Neveau then came up and gave a check to Dynamic Kids. Carla Barnett was present, and spoke briefly about the charity, and what this donation will do for them.
BIRTHDAYS AND CLUB ANNIVERSARIES
Steve Oehler had a birthday this week, and we had one club anniversary, Marty Pavlick.
SONGS
Jerry Carvey then led us in two songs, Smiles and When You're Smiling. Thanks Jerry, great choices!
SHERIFF'S REPORT
Steve Schettenhelm then came to the podium and proceeded to extract $235 from our wallets for our charities. New Year's date writing (2020), vacations, Christmas lights, gift return / regifting, air travel, automobiles, New Year's resolutions, National Walk Your Pet Month, National Poetry at Work Month, everything was fined. Great job Steve!
PROGRAM
Ron Lichtle then introduced our speaker of the day, Jeffrey Furest. Jeff spoke to the club about Mount Clemen's Rotary Club's upcoming Centennial Party, Friday, June 5th, 2020. Anyone interested in going, please reach out directly to him. Thank you for speaking Jeff!
