SHERIFF'S REPORT
PROGRAM

Our program today was dedicated to honoring the legacy that RiverCrest has created and the home it has served for us as rotarians. Ernie Schaefer presented  Nino Tocco with his Paul Harris in thanks for everything he has done for our club and the community.

Mayor Bryan Barnett read a proclamation honoring Nino and his commitment to our community for all those community moments that he has been a part of. From the sports banquets and weddings to fundraisers and campaigns, Nino has been the heart of it all.

Our members shared so many fond memories that were shared at RiverCrest. Just some of the memories included:

  • Nino's outstanding community service award.
  • His donation of 575 feet of waterfront property to the city.
  • His support of breast cancer fundraisers.
  • The kids Christmas parties he hosted
  • The fantastic catering of the highest standards
  • The feeling that you were walking into Cheers where everyone knows your name
  • His big kindnesses and small kindnesses that made him the richest man in town
  • His help with book editing
  • His seamless transitions to all Covid requirements getting us back in person faster than anyone could've expected
  • His delicious catering especially the meatloaf and Italian sausage
  • Bringing picnics in the park to life
  • His support of every rotary president with any change that they needed
  • Whenever you came to River Crest you always left in a better mood than when you got there
  • The staff was always kind and helpful in anyway the could offer assistance
But most of all the legacy and family that the whole River Crest team leaves behind. They will all be deeply missed!
