It celebrates the donkey-related stories in the Bible, particularly the donkey bearing the Holy Family into Egypt after Jesus' birth.
- Reflecting on the news that President-Elect Trump wanted the U.S. to buy Greenland (because why not?), Sheriff Peter turned to the "smartest man in the room," John Gaber, and asked him to name Greenland's largest city. For once, John was stumped, leaving everyone bracing for a fine. But just when all hope seemed lost, Mayor Bryan Barnett swooped in with the answer: Nuuk! Crisis averted, no fines were handed out, and Bryan officially became the day's hero. Seriously, someone owes that man a coffee!
- The name "January" comes from the Roman god Janus, considered the god of doors in Roman mythology. Thus, those in attendance who used DoorDash were fined for laziness and poor nutritional choices.
