If you weren't able to join us on July 13, you were missed! Thirty-eight Rotarians and guests gathered to celebrate and thank Rachel Aviles for her outstanding leadership and dedicated service as our 2025–2026 Rotary Club President.
A heartfelt thank-you goes to our new President, Tami Salisbury, for providing the tent, tables, chairs, and the delicious meal from Pita Way. Thanks also to Christine Hage for graciously opening her backyard for the celebration. Although it was a warm summer evening, a welcome breeze, great food, and wonderful fellowship made it a memorable event and a fitting tribute to Rachel.

One of the evening's most meaningful traditions was the ceremonial passing of the gavel, symbolizing the continuity of leadership and service within Rochester Rotary. The gavel was passed from our earliest past president in attendance, Jerry Carvey, through a distinguished line of past presidents—Bill Ebinger, Jo Allen, Cyndi Andrews, Tom Neveau, Jay Eastman, Alan McLellan, Kyle Johnson, Christine Hage, and Rachel Aviles—before being placed in the hands of our new president, Tami Salisbury. The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the dedicated leaders who have shaped our club and the strong foundation upon which each new Rotary year is built.
