Club President Tom Neveau gaveled the meeting order at 12:10 pm EDT at the Oakland University Engineering Center. 59 Rochester Club members plus several members of the Auburn Hills Rotary Club were in attendance. There were "too many guests to count" as Tom led all to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Wayne Hodges led a stirring rendition of God Bless America. President Tom led us to recite the Rotary 4-Way test and Mary Ann Reidinger completed the opening of the meeting with a heartfelt invocation citing thanks for country and community service. The buffet lunch was then served – Pork Chops, Dirty Rice and Cookies
Tom resumed the meeting but did not ask Secretary Jeff Whitbey to introduce our guest as there seemed to be "a cast of thousands"
HAPPY BUCKS
Ron Dilido was happy that Ray Doerr was healthy enough to join us, Don Robinson celebrated the successful completion of the Golf outing, Maria Willett too was happy, Jeff Whitby for an upcoming band concert in Muskegon, Bryan Barnett due to Avon Road opening. Christine Hage asked about Adams Road but Bryan reminded all that this was not a Q&A session.

SHERIFF
Bryan Barnett extracted $157 for charity from the following perpetrators and collaborators:
Since Sheriff Bryan won nothing at the Golf Outing or Golf Ball Drop, everyone remotely involved was fined accordingly. Super Sleuth then went on to impose a Rochester Hills approximation fine of $3 which covered all the Auburn Hills Rotary Club members. Our own “Sherlock Holmes” fined those who had enjoyed watching the Olympics catching all but Christine Hage, Marjorie Lockwood and Jeff Whitbey. He then fined Dave Archibold for being late again even though the meeting was at OU. In the spirit of the Olympics, Inspector Barnett fined Timo Nicholaou because Greece had bought a reverse mortgage on the medals they had won as a partial repayment to Germany. Rodney Hulbert got it for being part of the Olympics "Refugee Team". Bob Lytle because he was nearby. Deputy Barnett finished by honoring the top finishing American Marathoner, he finished #15. So, anyone who ever ran a marathon, or a 1/2 marathon or had driven 26.5 miles was fined accordingly.
SPEAKER
Past President Rhonda Panczyk reminded us why it s great to a Rotarian:
1. About to eradicate Polio
2. You are connected to people who take action
3. Our Foundation is 100 years strong
4. We have a 1.2M member global network
Rhonda then introduced our latest Rochester Rotary member, Sheena Monnin, as the speaker on Leadership Development and Conflict Resolution. Sheena is the CEO of Custom Life Designs, author of "Hands on the Wheel: Getting Control of Your Life" and the former Miss Pennsylvania 2012. Sheena suggested conflict resolution starts with controlling your self awareness, avoiding the "Hat of Victim Hood" where we never feel at fault and jettisoning your emotions by relying instead on good listening, logic and facts. Our responses and reactions determine if we give control to our adversaries or maintain it ourselves.
