CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Tom announced that Wednesday, September 14, 2016, is Parents Night at the Four Rochester high Schools. We want to have a table at each of the schools to support the Interactors and to put a major emphasis on the Rotary Student Exchange Program. The program goes from 6:30 – 9:00 PM. Please contact Tom if you are able to assist with this effort.
Ron DiLiddo announced that Lobsterfest would return on Friday October 28, 6:30pm. The cost will be $40 per person and the maximum attendees is 125. If you would be interested in participating on this committee, please see Ron.
President Tom reminded us that we will have a float at the Rochester Christmas Parade again this year. We are hoping that this will be a joint project with our Interact and Rotaract Clubs.
Kelly Dean and Mike Kelley will be hosting "Thirsty Thursday" gatherings at local Rochester establishments after work to attract new members. More details to follow. Kelly and Mike could use your help.
Our Club is still looking for a Chair Person to head up the Wine Tasting fund raiser next year.
SONGS
Bob Lytle led us in two songs; "The More We Get Together" and "The Meeting Song"
SHERIFF
Super Slueth Stuart Siegner used his amazing powers of persuasion to extract a whopping $305 from the over flowing crowd. Our own "Dick Tracy" had been warned by the "Grand Poo Bah" to make it snappy so he began by giving us a lesson on the history, genealogy and infamy of our District Governor's name: Michael Angelo Robinson Caruso. So if you ever, saw the Sistine Chapel, saw the sculpture of David, visited a Catholic Church, confessed your sins, saw the movie "Robinson Crusoe", experienced a deserted island, it cost you $1, d. If you had never confessed your sins, it cost $3. If you had been deserted on the road, it was $2.
Inspector Seigner then admitted an intimate detail that he had recently encountered Poison Ivy. The lead him to ask, who had recorded the original version on the song "Poison Ivy". Wayne Hodges was completely victimized with a true 4-Way Test response of, "I do not know". Jay Eastman saved the day by disclosing that the Contours were first but it still cost Wayne, $3.
Stuart ended his reign of terror with additional historical and trivial jewels like, it costs $2 if you ever saw the movie Ghost or knew that it took two days, in 1682, to press a Salem, MA man to death for failing to admit that he was a witch.
